I think of great things to write about, but by the time I get a chance to write, I am too tired!
For tonight, I will just share some pictures of some of my flowers that are already GORGEOUS!
I just cut back my mums tonight because they were enormous and threatening to bloom. It is MAY. They shouldn't bloom until fall.
Here are my knockout roses - so beautiful and easy to maintain:
I have two pink bushes (that are huge) and two yellow. The yellow just don't seem to do as well. But the blooms are still beautiful!
One of my FAVORITE spring flowers is the Peony. They remind me of my great-grandmother. She had snoball bushes and peonies all along her fence/rock wall at her house. They smelled so divine. I planted this one the first spring we lived at this house (so six years ago). I have another one in my back flower garden.
BEAUTIFUL Peony bloom!
Do you have flowers that remind you of someone special to you?Do you have a favorite spring flower in your garden or wish you knew how to grow beautiful flowers?
Where we live, I have always been told not to plant my annuals until Derby Day or Mother's Day. Well, tomorrow is Derby Day. I hope to sneak in a quick trip to one of my favorite places (the nursery) and get a few beauties for my flower pots/hanging baskets. I love the sun-patiens, geraniums, zinnias and lilies. I also LOVE snapdragons. One asset of such a mild winter this year is that NONE of my snapdragons from last year died. I have tons of them and they are already very large and blooming. I'll have to share some of those next!
