A conversation with Noah

We decided to stay at home for the better part of today and I am SO thankful we did. When we had to go out for a small errand, I asked Noah if he'd like to see the "Pooh tree" I found on my run the other day. (A little back story - there is a tree that has a portion rotted out at the bottom in our neighborhood. About a year ago we were walking and Noah saw this and said that is where Winnie the Pooh lived.)
Noah of course said yes! He asked me when I found it and I told him I saw it the other night when I was running. I asked him if he'd like to drive the route that Mommy ran and he said, "YES!". I drove through the back of our neighborhood, down the long hill off of Louisville Road and down toward the Capital. When I showed him the "Pooh tree" he was thrilled!. We drove back up and around the Capital and through an older neighborhood behind it.
As we were going up a rather steep hill, Noah asked, "Mommy, did you run up this hill?" and I responded, "yes, I did". Then he said, "Was it really hard to run up this hill?" and I said, "YES!". He asked, "Did it make you really tired to run up the hill?" and I said, "Yes, but once I got to the flat part again, it was much easier.". He sat and thought for a few minutes and then said, "Mommy, I can't believe you ran this far!!". I was thinking the same thing myself, Noah!!!
The route I took him on was about 7 miles. It seemed like an eternity when I was running it, for sure.
