Well.....our pastor encouraged us to consider giving something up for Lent this year. I decided to give up Mt. Dew. I drink way too much of it and I know that drinking more water is going to be better for my health and for my running endeavors. I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy it has been. I have wanted to get one a few times, but it is getting easier by the day. I really thought I would miss the caffeine, but I haven't had headaches. On Sundays, we are allowed to have whatever we gave up - kind of like mini "feast" days. I had one and I must say it did not taste as good as I thought it would! Maybe next Sunday will be different. I'll just have to wait and see. But until then, I guess I am no longer "doing the Dew"!
