Today was simply GORGEOUS! I was driving with a new song blaring on the cd player - "We Crown You" by Steve Fee- and singing at the top of my lungs. It felt like spring and I looked down to see 62 degrees on my outside temperature gauge.
62 DEGREES! I could not believe it. As soon as I walked in the door I changed into my running clothes and headed out for a few moments of solitude in the sunshine. I ran further than I have run so far and had a quicker time - HALLELUJAH! When I got back I was able to vacuum and clean the inside of my van and clean Andy's stroller while the boys were still napping. Days like today tease me. They give just the tiniest glimpse into what lies ahead....it sucks me in and makes me think that this is what it is going to be like and WHAM! it is winter again. All the meteorologists are warning that winter is not over and there are a few more weeks (and possible winter storm threats) still to endure. I guess the nice thing about today is that when the end of February and beginning of March seem cold, dreary and blustery I can close my eyes and imagine how wonderful it felt to drive today in the sunshine. I can hold onto the promise that Spring really is just around the corner and it will get me through!
