Full day of FUN!

Today I met Greg in Lexington and took the boys all over the place. We had to get Noah's allergy shots, Blake's glasses fixed and look for new shoes. We took them to GattiTown for lunch and to play. The biggest decision of course, was what they would buy with the tickets they earned. They ultimately decided on a punching balloon (Noah) and a crazy looking ball (Blake). They took FOREVER to decide and Noah did not care that his cost about half as many tickets as Blake's!
Can I just say how much I LOVE skeeball? I could stand there and play that over and over again. Unfortunately, Andy was on the loose and trying to climb up on the skeeball lane next to mine :) That ended my skeeball session! He LOVED the carousel and did not want to get off.
We left GT and then ran in Best Buy to purchase a present for my nephew, Carter. Then we did the unthinkable - took the boys to the mall. We were looking for new shoes for Blake and Noah. We ended up with shoes for Noah, a wool coat for Greg and two UK t-shirts for me. The boys were good sports minus Noah's meltdown in the first shoe store. He wanted a pair of GAUDY light up shoes and Greg said no! I finally got Noah distracted by a ride up and down the escalators in Dick's Sporting Goods. Later on, we let them have popcorn and a Cherry Slushie. They were in heaven! We then left the mall and went across town to order a new lens for Noah's glasses. (He lost it in our backyard and we cannot find it!)
After that, Greg mentioned going to Carrabba's for dinner. I was thinking - this is Friday night of Valentine's Day weekend and there is NO way we will get in. I was wrong - 15 minute wait for a table and the boys were SO well behaved. It renews my faith in them and our parenting. They colored and had decent conversations and ate their food - PRAISE GOD! Our waiter was a young man and he was fabulous. He said he grew up with two brothers and our kids reminded him of him and his brothers.
We wrapped up a fabulous day by coming home, putting the SLEEPY boys to bed and watching the Opening Ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
I am so blessed and I am so grateful. Reminds me of a song I have sang numerous times - "How Could I Ask for More?" by Cindy Morgan. Some of the lyrics are: "Thank you Lord, how could I ask for more?" - MY sentiments exactly!
