Thoughts Via the Flu

Sadly, I have been cooped up in my bed for two days with flu-like symptoms. I have watched more than my fair share of television and I have a few thoughts.

1) People on House Hunters drive me crazy. How do first time home buyers afford $500,000+ homes?  Why are they so picky about seemingly insignificant things?
2) I really wish the original Law & Order was still on television. I miss Jack McCoy and Detectives Briscoe and Greene.
3) I really want to travel. Alaska, Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, the Caribbean, Montana and Texas  are all places I'd  like to go see.
4) They truly do not make shows like the Cosby Show anymore.  I find myself thinking Greg and I can be a lot like the Huxtables.
5) Most commercials are irritating. I especially do not appreciate the ones about highly inappropriate topics at 3pm.  I do not think my children should be subjected to Viagra, Victoria's Secret  or Hardee's commercials.
6) The fact that I am sick does not deter my children from wanting my attention. Despite my attempts at quarantining myself, I have supervised math homework, soothed hurt feelings, and played a card game. Motherhood is truly 24/7.
7) I am ever so grateful for today being pajama day at school. That was one less thing to worry about this morning.
8) I am rarely home during the daytime anymore and if I am, Mickey Mouse dominates the television. There really isn't squat on tv worth watching. I could really go for some reruns of good shows like ER, Friends, The West Wing, Providence,Judging Amy or similar shows.
9) There is too much "reality" tv which in my opinion has nothing to do with reality.
10) Do people ACTUALLY watch The View?
11) My husband deserves an award for keeping the house in order and letting me rest!
