Summertime is upon us

Some days it really doesn't take much to make me giddy. For the first time since last September, I am taking the boys swimming. Greg has a church softball game tonight but our friends' in laws have a nice pool and they live in our neighborhood. A BIG shout out to Ben and Linda (Bo's mom and stepdad) for graciously allowing all of us to use their pool throughout the summer. Our kids LOVE it over there and it is so convenient to go. Tara called today and said something about going and I jumped at the opportunity.
I really think I am more excited than the boys, if that is possible. For me it signals the beginning of summer and all the fun we get to have without school schedules and having to be here, there and everywhere each day of the week. It means more quality time with each of my kids. It means baseball and softball games, swimming, day trips, lounging around in pajamas, reading and impromptu playdates.
