I simply cannot believe that Noah has 11 more days of preschool and Blake has 13 more days of school before summer break!! This school year has simply flown by at the speed of light. I am thankful this has been a good year. No major mishaps and they have both enjoyed their classes.
I hope that summer can go a little slower than normal. I am simply NOT ready to have a second grader. I also don't want Noah to go to school all day yet. I cannot imagine him being gone all day. It will be a big adjustment for me and for him. Andy will not know what to do with no big brothers around until 3pm.
I am planning to do one day a week like "Terrific Thursdays" or "Fabulous Fridays" where we do something a little special. I want to take the boys to the zoo, to a pirate exhibit at a museum in Louisville, to the Science museum in Louisville, the Louisville Slugger museum and factory, the Jiff factory, free movies at the theatre and more. Throw in a trip to my Mom's, visits to the Lake where Greg's parents have a home and boat, VBS at church, t-ball practices and games, Blake and Noah's birthdays, my mission trip to Honduras and you have a VERY full summer.
With so many things already planned, I know the summer will go faster than I wish for it to, but I know that I can embrace each day. I want to enjoy my time with the boys and not be ready to pull out my hair. I want to worry less about tasks and more about running in the sprinkler, eating popsicles, going to the pool and growing vegetables and flowers in our garden.
Here's to summertime!!!!!!
