Day Two of Thankfulness-Growing up in Church

Today I am thankful for a rich spiritual heritage and the blessings of being raised in a church full of people who loved on me as a child.  There were so many wonderful people who really cared about me and poured their time into my life.

Julie Losch, Teresa Stinson, Kay Kinney, Freida Tackett, Debbie Duvall, Patsy Graham and mom all helped lead me in children's choir and GA/Acteens.

Karen Hurley and Freida led our youth choirs.

Carole Arnold, Betty Harney, Nancy Dietemeyer, Jackie Faulkner, Mara Beth Switzer, Faye Smith and others taught me in Sunday School.

The Plummers, Cliffords, Browns, Pulliams, Martins, Pennimans, Probus', Judys, Reeves' and so many others were like extended families to us.

Gabe & Sharon Collett, Rodney & Tonya Lynch, Allen & Jane England and Wayne and Cyndi Spivey were ministers who taught me many things and helped steer me in the right direction.

As a parent now and busy family, I know how precious their time was and I am SO grateful they chose to invest it in me.  They have all left a lasting impression on my heart and mind.  I have no doubt that my love for music, missions, service and God stemmed directly from their love and guidance.They really were my church "family".
