Climbing Mt. Everest

So, I think Jake is going to be a climber.

This is monumental.

None of my other boys were really into climbing, but this child at ten months has already figured out how to climb up the slide in his room.  I know in our world, it isn't that big.  But to his vantage point, it is Mt. Everest.

He looks so determined when he gets behind there.  He gets one tiny little foot on the "rock" wall and pulls up, only to slide back down.  But that doesn't deter him.  He puts that little foot up there again and pulls up and this time gets the other tiny foot on another "rock".  After many attempts, he pulls himself flat onto the platform.

He has not figured out how to stand up yet on the slide and take full advantage of the steering wheel.

He has also not decided to go down the slide head first, much to my delight!

But I know this is soon to come.

As you can see, his brothers are cheering him on and "helping" him go down the slide.  He thinks they are HILARIOUS!  They think it is great fun to "help" him!

After I wrote this, he was climbing to stand on top of the Little People garage so he could look out our family room windows!
