Spring has almost sprung!

I am SO excited that I have been able to wear flip flops the past two days. I have volunteered at the boys' school more than normal this week. The past two days I took Blake's class to recess to give his teacher some extra planning time. It was so glorious to sit outside in the sunshine and warm breeze and hear the voices of children playing.

I know living in Kentucky that it could easily be back down in the 40s next week, but right now it is positively DIVINE!

I was sitting here thinking about all the reasons I love Spring and thought I'd share them:

* flips flops (already mentioned)
* tulips, daffodills, hyacinths, crocuses
* budding trees like Dogwoods and Flowering Crabapples
* bright blooms on Yellow Hydrangea bushes
* longer daylight hours to run
* boys playing outside until it is too dark to see
* flying kites
* Easter season and the celebration of Jesus' resurrection
* spring soccer & baseball
* toenail polish & pedicures
* pulling out capri pants and sundresses
* warm sunshine streaming in the car windows as I drive
* Spring Break
* birds singing
* working in the flower garden
* my husband starting the vegetable garden (YUM!)
* sidewalk chalk & bubbles
* fresh strawberries
* grilling out
* outdoor patio dining

I think I could go on, but my love for this new season of renewal is clear! The only thing I don't like about spring is that Noah's allergies tend to go haywire. We are praying the 18 months of allergy shots will pay off and his reaction this year will be minimal.

Why do you love spring? What are you looking forward to this year?
