Operation Christmas Child

One of my favorite projects to participate in each year is Operation Christmas Child.  It is sponsored by Franklin Graham's ministry Samaritan's Purse.  If you want to find out more about it, click here.

Each year at our church (and as a family) we bring in items like socks, toothbrushes, soap, stickers, coloring items, playdough, small cars, balls, and more and cram as many items as we can into a box about the size of a shoe box.  These are shipped all over the world to children.  If you pay for the shipping of your box online, you can track it with a special barcode.  Last year, our boxes ended up in Madagascar.  I am excited to see where our boxes end up this year!

Blake, Noah and I packed two boxes on Wednesday to take to church.  Then Noah's group at church packed 50 more boxes with items our church members had donated!

If you want to know more about this and how to pack a shoe box, watch the video online here.
