Eleven Months

Every month seems to fly by even faster than the last.  This past month is almost a blur!  We had Noah's birthday, I helped my mom keep Jenny's girls while they were in Honduras, we had school supply shopping to do and I was working at school a lot in preparation for the first day.  Blake started 4th grade, Noah started 2nd grade and Andy started morning preschool four days a week.  In the middle of that, Jake hit eleven months!

The past month he had a double ear infection and has cut seven teeth.  That's right - SEVEN teeth - all at the same time.  To say he was fussy is an understatement.  That occurred simultaneously with the double ear infection and sinus infection and we had a few sleepless nights.  I can't complain too much because otherwise, he always sleeps all night for twelve hours!

Jake got to go to Kings Island for the first time.  He rode the carousel, the train and the big airplane.  We went to the waterpark and he loved the wave pool and splash pool.

He has been a crawling machine.  He gets everywhere - FAST.  The baby gates are back in service at our house!  He walks along all the furniture and acts like he is going to let go, but so far, no independent steps.  He has said "mama" and babbles a lot.  Jake LOVES the slide in his room, the leap frog table, peek-a-block cube and is starting to appreciate the Little People - even if it is just to put them in his mouth.

Jake has started drinking out of a straw and hopefully will transition to milk in a cup soon.  He really wants to feed himself and any chance he gets to eat puffs, wagon wheels, yogurt bites or cereal, he loves it.

His personality if really starting to come out and I think we are in for another "hilarious" child!  If you know Noah, you know what I mean!

Here are some pictures from the past month:
 Enjoying the Johnny Jump Up

His brothers enjoy playing with him on his slide.

You can see his little face peeking over the bar between Greg and Andy.
This is how Jake spent the majority of his day at Kings Island - riding and watching everything around him.
Jake's brothers thought he should be a super hero like them, so they put one of their capes on him to play.

At the pool the day before school started back - enjoying one last day of "summer" with our friends.

We definitely have a climber on our hands.  He is trying to look out the windows to the back yard so he climbed up on the Little People garage to see.

Jake LOVES balls.  He will crawl after them and right when he gets to them, he'll attempt to grab it and it will roll away again.  This can go on forever!
He loves his tongue.  He also loves his daddy and getting one on one attention.
